|題目|Continuum models for self-organization of micro- and nano-particles and dynamical models for biological curves|
|講演概要|We derive continuum models of self-aggregation of nano-particles. Special attention is paid to the case when the particles' energy depends on the mutual orientation and distance. We derive kinetic equations of motion and then reduce them to the continuous equations for the local particle density and orientation. We show the existence of the localized solutions and derive analytical results for their evolution.  Next, we turn our attention to the dynamical description of the evolution of biological strands, with the energy dependent on the local elastic deformation of the strand as well as electrostatic (or general nonlocal) interaction. We show how to derive time-dependent evolution equations using a minimal action principle, and ow to write the equations in terms of a (geometric) conservation law.|
