> Welcome to the website of the Chair of Advanced Electrical Systems Theory in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Kyoto University, Japan!

> Currently, we are working on applications of nonlinear dynamics and control into engineering, including power conversion and processing, nano-mechanical systems, and power networks. Our research covers from fundamental science to system through device design.
> Currently, we are working on the theory and practice of nonlinear dynamical systems and control, with a strong emphasis on engineering applications, including energy systems and robots. Our research covers from mathematical/physical sciences to technologies from devices, circuits, systems, and networks (systems of systems). Collaborations between universities have been held flexibly worldwide depending on emergent topics.

** TO STUDENTS INTERESTED IN STUDIES UNDER OUR PI [#ge991110]
** To Students from PI [#ge991110]

>We are always waiting for graduate students who eager to study in our laboratory. However, our standpoint is not the same as usual power electronics and motor drive related approach. Standard applications of the power apparatuses are not in our research field. Then, we will be not able to accept such students who intend to study them. This is because such applications are currently far from PhD degree anymore. Once again, in the current phase of our research, power engineering fields, including conventional power system engineering and vanilla power electronics, are out of the scope. Students who have backgrounds of Applied and Computational Mathematics, Physics, and Control Theory are encouraged to request.
> Students who wish to study in our laboratory should apply according to the Kyoto University's [[website:https://www.kyoto-u.ac.jp/en/education-campus/education-and-admissions/graduate-degree-programs/how-to-apply]]. Please note that we will not reply to individual applications due to our busy schedule.
